Update: for the time being, my idea of working on a newsletter has been put in a hiatus. After moving into software development, the idea of staying in yet even more time in front of a laptop in the small slices of time of the day left has become untenable, frankly.
In the meantime, I’ve decided to spend no more than a few minutes per day on another project, which took form here on tumblr: theyareobserving
I have to admit, as a (linguistic? anthropological?) experiment it’s a tad cryptic in this form, but given what I’m trying to find out spelling exactly what I’m going after would’ve spoiled the end result.
Still unsure on using this platform for long form content, wondering if it would be better to just add a small blurb pointing to a substack article.
I’m not too keen on having yet one more platform/account to manage, but I’m equally sure people wouldn’t bother reading a wall of text straight from their dashboard.
Any suggestions?
Given the current status of things on twitter, I’ve decided to go back on tumblr as the main focus for any comms for the time being.
Can’t say I’ve ever really made a good use of this account, it was mostly a stopgap solution while trying to build a personal website… that never went anywhere, really, due to some fast changing stuff happening in the background - mainly having to move from a designer career to fill the not-so-comfortable shoes of being a software developer.
I’ll try to be somewhat more carefree with posting this time, using this blog both as twitter on steroids and as an hub for collecting any other platform where you can get in touch with me.
At least, until the next platform buyout by a billionaire.
cheers, Sal
